Leadership Notes
From the Chair: Your Loved Ones Will ♥ New York!
by Peter E. Strand

One of the best aspects of DRI membership is its warm, family feel.  I mean that not only in our focus this year on our peer-driven KIN – Knowledge, Improvement and Networking – but also in welcoming our spouses and guests to join us at our meetings.

We all work hard and spend a lot of time away from our loved ones.  Your Committee's leadership said, "We can do something about that!" So, we put together a true New York City landmarks experience for your spouse or guest (and you, if you can break away) at our Business Litigation & IP Seminar May 16-18.

We have scheduled fun forays for you and your spouse or guest so you can take advantage of the excellent CLE presented and our compelling keynote speakers, then join your spouse or guest to see the famous sights of New York.  Print this article and give it to your spouse/potential guest and ask him or her to come.

As a cost-saving measure for everyone, we are using the New York CityPASS, an effective way to see the must-see areas.  For a nominal fee of $79 (a $162 value! and available online at www.citypass.com/newyork), you can join the adventure-loving DRI group as we explore the City That Never Sleeps.   Here's the Schedule of Events:

As you can see, there's something for everyone.  If you and your spouse or guest are interested in the Eataly Cooking Demonstration & Dinner on Thursday night, May 17, we will need to know within the next few weeks as that must be booked in advance.  Please contact me at pstrand@shb.com or Rich Dukes, meeting marketing chair, at rdukes@turnerpadget.com, and supply the names of all diners.  We will get back to you about the price per person as soon as possible, and how funds will be paid/collected.

We are very excited about this Seminar, its top-notch CLE content to improve our knowledge and its many networking opportunities for you and for your spouse or guest.  There's nothing like an experience in the Big Apple that helps folks bond as one.  We really hope to see you May 16-18 in New York at the Sheraton New York (in Times Square).
