Join us in Austin!

The DRI Young Lawyers Seminar is right around the corner.  Now is the time to register for the seminar and book your hotel and flight, if you haven't done so already.  We have an outstanding location this year at the Hilton Austin in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. REGISTER NOW - http://www.dri.org/open/SeminarDetail.aspx?eventCode=20110240

In addition to this year's excellent line-up of speakers and programming, we also have many other great events and networking opportunities planned:

Dine Arounds/Activities – We'll have a number of great restaurants to choose from, including Roaring Fork, Moonshine, and Matt's Famous El Rancho.  We will also be hosting a Thursday night post-dinner party with live music and free drinks at the legendary Stubb's Bar-B-Q (http://stubbsaustin.com/), and we're adding a twist to our Friday afternoon closing party by taking it to Lake Austin for food and drinks at Abel's On The Lake (http://www.abelsonthelake.com/).

Service Project – Come meet other young lawyers at our Service Project on Wednesday, June 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  We will be working with the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas (http://www.austinfoodbank.org/), an organization providing food and grocery products to more than 350 partner agencies in 21 central Texas counties to further its mission "to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger."  Please contact Shirlethia Franklin (shirlethia.franklin@alston.com) if you have any questions.

Golf Outing – In connection with the seminar and a way to kick off the week, committee member Josh Webb has planned a golf event for seminar attendees and their guests on the morning of Wednesday, June 8.  If you plan to attend the seminar and want to join the golf outing at Barton Creek's Fazio Foothills (Golf Magazine's #2 ranked course-you-can-play in Texas in 2010) (http://www.bartoncreek.com/fazio-foothills.aspx), send Josh an email (jwebb@hwhlaw.com).  More details will be sent to those who respond to Josh, and you should have time to make both the service project and the golf outing.

Hope to see you in Austin!!!
