David Pocius
Mr. Pocius earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Emory University and his Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School. Prior to joining Paul Frank + Collins, Mr. Pocius was a judicial law clerk with the State of Vermont Trial Courts, a clerk with the Office of the Vermont Attorney General and an intern for both Earthjustice in Seattle, Washington, and the Vermont Supreme Court. He also worked with the Nantucket Conservation Foundation, participated in a lesser long-nosed bat foraging ecology study at the University of Arizona, and examined the relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and brain physiology while working at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. In addition to DRI, Mr. Pocius is a member of the ABA, Chittenden County Bar Association, New York Bar Association and Vermont Bar Association. Mr. Pocius has been admitted to practice in Vermont; New York; the U.S. District Court, District of Vermont; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York; U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York; U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit; and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. When not practicing law, Mr. Pocius volunteers with the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival as a member of its advisory board. He is also vice chair of the board for Linking Learning to Life. He enjoys music, skiing, mountain biking and travel. |
