To give you some idea of the excitement that is building around this event, we've just added Senator Fran Pavley to the general session on December 10. As author of the Global Warming Solutions Act, Senator Pavley created landmark legislation that has become a model for similar efforts throughout the country. A middle school teacher for nearly thirty years, her commitment to education is as strong as her determination to protect the environment.
Educators will be drawn to the floor by "Passport to Grid Neutral and Green Schools," an interagency informational booth that the the Division of the State Architect is organizing. The booth will be filled with program specialists who can help attendees find resources for green initiatives at their schools. (We've also made certain that the Summit education program includes lots of sessions focusing on state and federal funding resources - a potential boon for your company as well as California schools.)
To help exhibitors gain an inside track on the schools market, the Coalition for Adequate School Housing will be providing a special briefing to exhibitors about the ins and outs of doing business with schools. This will offer vital insights.
As I've been saying, we are also working hard on our Buyer/Vendor Lounge, a special feature of the Summit that allows exhibitors to schedule meetings with school buyers. If you haven't yet read our coverage of the 2009 Green California Community College Summit, I recommend that you do - it will give you some insight into the importance of these meetings. Click here.
We've heard over and over again that school officials realize they've got to come up to speed on green products and services. They are building relationships at our events that are leading to project partnerships. You don't want to miss this opportunity to become a trusted source for them.
We expect the remaining booths to go fast over the next few weeks, so the sooner you call me, the more choices you will have to select from. Call me today! |
