Good Morning, Coach!
Attached is a flyer with detailed information concerning the NHSCA National High School Wrestling Championships. Please forward this information to your wrestlers in your club.
We invite your wrestlers to participate in this year’s NHSCA National High School Wrestling Championship which is the nation’s premier event. This prestigious event, presented by the U.S. Navy SEALs, is the Crown Jewel of high school wrestling. Please do not confuse this event with other recently formed wrestling tournaments being conducted during the same date.
This is the event where you are officially declared a High School All-American. The top 8 place finishers will receive 3 All-American certificates (wrestler, coach, school) in addition to an individual award as well as recognized in the National High School Sports Hall of Fame Museum.
If you have freshmen, sophomores, or juniors… There are no qualifications for Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior Nationals. The best of the best from around the country come and vie for that top spot on the award stand.
If you have a senior… As in year’s past, to qualify for the NHSCA Senior Nationals, you must have placed in the top two of your State Championships (Top 4 in NJ, NY, and IN – Top 8 in CA) at some point during your high school scholastic career. If you have not, you may petition the NHSCA for a wild card by emailing Wildcard@NHSCA.com.
We are expecting another spectacular event! Last year, 2552 wrestlers representing 48 states, including more than 800 state champions as well as 1600+ state place finishers, competed in NHSCA High School Nationals. As you already know, the very best from across the country will be at this event. The atmosphere is electrifying in the state of the art facility at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
More than 200 college coaches from around the nation will be on hand for this event! In past NCAA Division I Championships, more than 90% of the NCAA All Americans competed in this event when they were in high school! To be the best, you must see yourself achieving at the highest level. Prepare yourself to the best of your ability and lay it on the line against the best in the country!
All High School Nationals Wresting Championship participants will receive free admissions to the Senior Nationals Wrestling Championships and all Senior Nationals participants will receive free admissions to the High School Nationals Wrestling Championships.
There will be a LIVE webcast of all 28 Mats for the entire 5 days on NHSCA.com via the High School Television Network. Once again, the Senior Nationals Finals will be aired on National Television.
